64BIT Development:  64BIT.US Victim of Cybersquatting

64BIT Development Just as a heads-up to everyone that has been asking about it, yes, our primary 64bit.us domain (owned by Steph Benoit since .us domain names became available), got grabbed up by a guy in Reading, Massachusetts who has ideas on selling it back to me.

During my last deployment by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, I received expiration information from GoDaddy letting me know that my primary domain was about to expire; however, because I was on the road and couldn't remember my password, I wasn't able to renew on time.  Sure enough, someone else grabbed it in hopes of making a quick buck.

Fortunately, the United States Anti-cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act and specifically addresses Trademarks and the abuse of domain registrations.  This guy has had my domain for sale since he got it and well, that's just not legal.

As 64bit.us is a Registered Trademark of 64BIT Development it won't be long before DNS (and thus the domain) is back under my control as I have taken action through ICANN and GoDaddy to regain control.

To those that have been trying to send me emails, have auto-responders to registrations that point to 64bit.us or online store notifications, subscription re-ups, or anything else that may point to any @64bit.us email address, please do not take any action.  Hopefully, all of these will get to me and automatically start working once I regain DNS control over the domain.
